Book One, Mystery in Rocky Mountain National Park, begins their adventure uncovering a mystery as they trace a series of clues left by Jake’s grandfather. In this ten-book series, they will visit ten parks: Rocky Mountain, Great Sand Dunes, Grand Canyon, Zion, Yosemite, Olympic, Mount Rainier, Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton. Kids will love the twists and turns, survival skills, the parallel story set in the 1880s, and the humorous moments. He is a former high school and middle school teacher and the founder of the online hiking guide, Dayhikes Near Denver. With over one-million visitors per year, it has become the most popular hiking resource for the Denver Metro Area and Front Range of Colorado. Aaron lives with his wife and two daughters in Castle Rock, Colorado.

For over a decade, Mr. Johnson has been profiling hikes on his website, Dayhikes Near Denver. With over one-million visitors per year, it has become the most popular hiking resource for the Denver Metro Area and Front Range of Colorado.

His National Park Mystery Series follows three friends on a scavenger hunt through ten books and ten national parks in the western states of America. But the adventures don’t stop there. He has plans to continue writing multiple series and a book for every one of the 60+ national parks.

He is also a sought-after speaker and workshop leader specializing in the field of online education.

Mr. Johnson is married to his wife, Jenah, and they are the parents of two girls.
